Where does the therapy take place?

In the studio: My consulting studio is in Houghton, near to Arundel in West Sussex. It is a safe, quiet, contained and confidential space that enables you to express whatever you feel you need to. Situated in the South Downs National Park, the nearest train station is Amberley. The studio is most easily accessed by car, and there is a dedicated parking space available outside for clients.

Outdoors: During the warmer months we will have the opportunity to meet outdoors in my garden if preferred. The view over the South Downs in breathtakingly beautiful, and clients comment that the environment alone contributes to their sense of wellbeing.

Online: During these challenging times, like many other therapists, I have taken my practice online. I work from my office at home, but you can be anywhere you choose, as long as you have a stable internet connection, and a space that is safe and private. My preferred platform is Zoom, which has proven to provide the best facilities for stability and privacy. It is easy to download and use. I send out invitations for my clients at the beginning of each day. My sessions are password protected and I will lock the meeting once you have arrived. If there are any issues around connectivity, we can move the session onto the telephone which is a successful alternative.

What can you expect?

Whichever of my spaces you find yourself in, you will be able to talk confidentially about whatever is on your mind, and at your own pace. You will also have the option of exploring with a wide range of arts and mindful interventions if you feel that would be helpful. I may offer an invitation to explore a feeling or situation from a different viewpoint, although there will never be any pressure or exception to do so.

The aim isn’t to make a work of art, but to open the space that makes creativity inevitable. My supply of arts materials and musical instruments is extensive and, together with my guidance and encouragement, we can experiment with new ways of seeing and being.

Fees

My fee is £65 for a 1 hour session (this is the same for an assessment session). I review my fees at the end of each year giving reasonable notice of any increase.

Please feel free to discuss any financial concerns with me as concessions can be negotiated in certain circumstances.
